Saturday, the Aurora Houn' Dawg Marching Band competed with 26 other bands at Webbstock, Webb City's 4th annual festival. Aurora took First Place in Class A (beating 5 other bands including Cassville, Monett and Mt. Vernon) AND taking Best Horn Line, Best Percussion, Best Drum Major, Best Soloist and Best Color Guard. In the finals, we placed 5th overall (out of 12 final bands). Nixa beat us for 4th place by less than 9/10 of a point. By the way, Nixa and the top 3 bands (Camdenton, Blue Springs and Willard) all have 200-250 members. Our band, this year is approximately 60 members (with 40% being 8th grade and Freshmen).
