Aurora Band Booster Meeting Minutes The meeting got underway with discussion of the Washington D.C. trip. The trip is scheduled for May 2010. Currently, we have $8,012.51 in the General Fund and $5,450.77 in the Trip Fund. The cost will be $675 per student with 84 students attending. We decided that every student would have a trip account and that there would be a cutoff date to have all money turned in. We then discussed fundraising ideas. We talked about hosting a tailgate party. Michelle Parbury is checking to see if the Athletic Boosters would allow all interested groups to each host a tailgate party. It was also suggested that we charge a small fee to enter the Halloween costume contest this year. The costume contest has been hugely popular over the years and many people only show up for that and don’t purchase any tickets. We also decided to check with Project Grad to see if they were going to do the cow patty drop this year. If they aren’t going to do it, we want to. We also talked about the upcoming Jamboree being held on 8/21. We are still looking for more ideas. Also, we are in need of Chaperones and Pit help for all of the upcoming football games and competitions. Sign up sheets for that will be going out soon to students.
